Employment Consultation Camp for the youth of migrant families was organized by PEPUS at village Jaraha of Kaudihar block, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh on 25th January 2016. The camp was well attended by the girls of the migrant community.Project Director, Mrs. Kamla addressed the participants and stressed upon the need of education for girls in general and vocational training in particular. She encouraged the girls to become self-dependent and to progress to become financially dependable to their families. She encouraged the girls to join the training program being organized by PEPUS and strive for expertise to secure gainful employment thereafter. Mrs. Kamla emphasized on the need of training in computer application and prerequisite qualification and abilities for such training.
Program Manager, PuneetĀ informed the participants about the technicalĀ training being provided by different Industrial Training Institutes in Allahabad and the procedure of enrollment in ITIs and ITCs. The courses being run for women in ITIs and ITCs were elaborated upon. The participants were encouraged to get in touch with the PEPUS team for assistance and more information on the subject.
Block Coordinator, Mr. Hiramani, dwelt on the particulars of the training programme to be organized for the youth of migrant families. He enumerated the eligibility criteria for the candidates of the training programs and the procedure of enrollment.
Field Associate, Mr. Rajkumar, informed the girls about the formalities of registration and the selection procedure adopted by PEPUS while choosing candidates for training. He informed the participants about the regular village level meetings and other interfaces with the community through which they can gain needed assistance and information on the training programs.
