Darabar Sahitya Sansad(DSS), Sodhua,Balipatna, Khordha, Odisha, organised a Legal clinic day awareness programme at Majhihara G.P office on 11th June 2016. Advocate Dillip Kumar Ojha conducted the Programme. Around 20 migrants and construction workers participated in the Legal Clinic Day. Advocate Mr Ojha discussed elaborately the provisions in acts like Minimum Wage Act-1936, Labour Insurance Act-1923,Labour Contractor Act-1970 and Migrant Labour Act-1979. Apart from the awareness on legal rights of migrants, 7 cases of conflict were discussed.
In one case Rs 5000.00 compensation was given to aggrieved party through mediation by the Kendra staff. At the end of the programme labour diaries were distributed to migrants.
