Shramik Sahayata O Soochana Kendra of Darabar Sahitya Sansad (DSS) organised an enterprise training on coir toys making from 17th June 2016 to 30th June 2016. In training, targeted 20 women from Migrant families. The women were selected by considering their attitude and aptitude towards taking up income generating activity with regard to Handicrafts making. DSS introduced it’s past experience in handicrafts and provided them a one and half month long training in Coir Toys Making. Ms Nibedita Barik an old trainee and a coir toy expert joined as master trainer. She guided the trainees with basic skills, designs, patters and different shapes. After the training the the trainees will be in a SHG group and will start production and marketing with guidance from DSS handicraft unit. Mr.Raghunath Bhol Kendra coordinator coordinated the training programme.
