State guidelines on the implementation of the Building and Other Construction Workers Act concerning the welfare and regulation of employment of seasonal migrant workers. The Act has been made to provide for the levy and collection of cess on the cost of construction with the view to augmenting the resources of Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board. The cess levied shall be collected from the employer through a local authority where an approval of the local authority for the construction is required.
