Debadatta Club

Debadatta Club envisions a society where everyone contributes according to best of her & his abilities and gets according to her or his basic needs through participation contribution ownership &with a life full of dignity. IT engages with the marginalized people led by the community members themselves. Collective reflection and analysis strengthens the processes by which people acquire consciousness of their oppressed situation. It gives them courage to work towards evolving strategies to resist, combat and overcome the denial of their rights.
Debadatta Club started the migration project in Gaisilat block, which is a draught prone area of Bargarh District. Out-migration from Bargarh district of Odisha continues due to unfavorable livelihood conditions. Lack of farm activities, draught situations, lack of irrigation facilities forces communities to migrate to other states for work. This project has initiated in 12 gram panchayat of Gaisilat Block in Bargarh District with the Financial support of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, Mumbai ant technical support of Aajeevika Bureau, Rajasthan.
