Samarthan–Centre for Development Support is a leading non-profit organisation working in the states of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. It promotes participatory development and participatory governance through capacity building, direct field action, model building, research and advocacy. Samarthan works for participatory governance and thus amplifies the voices of the poor, dalits, tribals and women in policy-making platforms.
In order to build evidence based advocacy agenda to influence policy makers, Samarthan continuously assesses the ground realities and generates empirical evidence to identify issues that affect decentralized governance and public service delivery in both rural and urban areas.
