Health Camp organised by Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra

SSK Ghaziabad had organised a Health Camp at Bombay Colony, Nand Gram, Ghaziabad on 17th June 2016. Around 98 migrants participated and took free advice on health related issues. Information regarding Dengue, Malaria and basic health education was also shared with the target groups. Major Diseases were identified in the camp like seasonal fever, cold, flu, cough, blood pressure, skin infection, skin allergy, lack of vitamin C & A in women and children and also anemia in females.

SSK Ghaziabad had also organised an Interface Meeting (Involving Local Self Govt.) with local Parshad and Community on 8th June 2016 at F- Block Panchasheel Colony on local issues as drainage, street sweeping, hand pump for clean drinking water, water ATM, Ration Card, Aadhar Card, Income & cost certificate etc. 60 community members had participated. Parshad has committed to carry the above related services as soon as possible.

SSK Ghaziabad had organised another Interface Meeting on 11th June 2016 with Trade base collectives at SSK office. Mr. B.B.Goel Resource Person facilitated this meeting. Discussion was done on strengthening of collective’s federation and also prepared a future work plan for collective’s federation. Collective members elected Mr. B.B.Goel as the promoter in this meeting. Main objective was to build capacities and to make forum for sharing and to take action about on issues. 57 group members are participated in the meeting.

SSK Ghaziabad had organised one day Trade Based collectives training on Legal Issues & rights of migrants at SSK Ghaziabad office on 29th June 2016. 20 Collective members participated in this training program. The major discussions on minimum wages, payment of wages, workmen compensation, interstate migration, gratuity & ESI, work place facilities, over time payment rule, harassment of women worker at work site, necessary documents of migrants for his protection, accident during work etc. Issues discussed in this training program. Mr. S.P.Singh Advocate facilitates this training program.
